    1. We felt safe in Mexico City when we visited last month. However, there are several other regions in Mexico that are on U.S. “Do not travel” lists”. As with any large city, use common sense and stay aware.

  2. Mexico City looks like an amazing destinaiton for a girls trip! The food looks so delicious, I don’t think I would want to leave. It seems like there is tons of sight-seeing around the city as well to keep busy for a few days.

  3. I’m glad I stumbled on your post because my friend and I are actually looking to plan a work from home trip somewhere this summer, and we’ve been considering Mexico City as one of our options! I’m so happy to hear that it’s a safe destination for female travelers and that there’s so much to see and do here.   5. Truth be told, I also always think of beaches and cocktails when thinking about Mexico! It is easy to forget that it is a huge country, with so much history and culture! Being a bit of a history nerd myself, I love that you include some historic facts in your article, and I see that Mexico City needs to get on my bucket list (even if it would probably be as a solo traveler) 🙂

    1. Mexico City seems like an easy place to travel solo. There is so much activity in bars, restaurants and attractions, you could easily meet other travelers.
